الصحفي أحمد جمال زيادة تم توقيفه - طبقا لعائلته - في مطار القاهرة الساعة 3:30 عصر يوم 30/1/2019أثناء عودته من تونس لحضور لجنة القيد بنقابة الصحفيين بعد تأجيله في اللجنة الماضية.. أحمد الذي جاء بحثا عن عضوية نقابة دفع الثمن غاليا من عمره عام وتسعة شهور محبوس بسبب عمله قبل أن يتم تبرئته تم التحفظ عليه مرة أخرى اليوم وغير معلوم مكان تواجده حتى الأن..جدير بالذكر ان قوات امن المطار انكرت احتجازها زيادة ، بعد 10 ساعات من وعودها باطلاق سراحه . تحديث 13/2/2019ظهر الصحفي أحمد جمال زيادة، يوم الأربعاء 13 فبراير، بنيابة العمرانية بعد 15 يومًا من الإخفاء القسري. ,وقد امرت النيابة بحبسه 15 يوم على ذمة التحقيقات فى تهمة نشر اخبار كاذبة.
