قضت المحكمة العسكرية بالإسكندرية، اليوم الخميس 11 أكتوبر، بالإعدام على 17 متهمًا، والسجن المؤبد لـ 19 آخرين، في القضية رقم 165 عسكرية لسنة 2016، المعروفة إعلاميًا بـ«بتفجير الكنائس»كما قضت بالسجن المشدد 15 سنة لـ8 متهمين والسجن 15 سنة لمتهم، والمشدد 10 سنوات لآخر، وانقضاء الدعوى بالوفاة لمتهمين.وكانت المحكمة العسكرية، قد أحالت أوراق 38 متهمًا، لمفتي الجمهورية؛ لاستطلاع الرأي الشرعي في إعدامهم، بينهم 27 حضوريًا، و11 غيابيًا، يوم الثلاثاء 10 إبريل، في القضية رقم 165 عسكرية في القضية المعروفة إعلاميًا بـ«بتفجير الكنائس».وتضم قضية تفجيرات الكنائس الثلاثة، 48 متهما، بينهم 36 متهما محبوسا على ذمة القضية، و12 آخرين مطلوب ضبطهم على خلفية اتهامهم في وقائع تفجير الكنائس بالإسكندرية وطنطا والعباسية وكمين النقب بالوادي الجديد. تحديث28/5/2019 : رفضت محكمة الطعون العسكرية العليا، الطعن المقدم من المتهمين فى القضية المعروفة إعلاميًا بـ"تفجير الكنائس"، على الأحكام الصادرة ضدهم بالإعدام والمؤبد.
