بتاريخ 14/5/2019 ألقت قوات أمن القاهرة القبض التعسفى على "مصطفى ماهر إبراهيم الطنطاوي" من منزله بالقاهرة الجديدة، وبعدتوجه الأسرة لقسم الشرطة، نفوا احتجازه أو معرفة مكان تواجده. تحديث 16/5/2019 : قررت نيابة أمن الدولة حبس كلا من المحامي الحقوقي هيثم محمدين، ومصطفي ماهر، 15 يومًا على ذمة التحقيق في القضية 741 لسنة 2019 حصر أمن الدولة، في اتهامهم بمشاركة جماعة ارهابية في تحقيق اهدافها. On 14/5/2019 Cairo security forces arbitrarily arrested Mustafa Maher Ibrahim Tantawi from his home in New Cairo. After the family went to the police department, they denied his detention or his whereabouts. 16/05/2019: The State Security Prosecution decided to imprison both Haitham Mohamadin and Mustafa Maher, 15 years after the investigation into case 741 of 2019, to confuse them with the participation of a terrorist group in achieving its objectives. 14/5/2019'da Kahire güvenlik güçleri, Mustafa Kahire İbrahim Tantawi'yi Yeni Kahire'deki evinden keyfi bir şekilde tutukladı.Aile polis teşkilatına gittikten sonra, gözaltına alındığını ya da bulunduğu yeri reddetti. 16/05/2019: Devlet Güvenlik Savcılığı, 2019 tarihli 741 sayılı davaya baktıktan 15 yıl sonra, Haitham Mohamadin ve Mustafa Maher’i, terörist bir grubun hedeflerine ulaşmalarına karışma konusunda hapsetmeye karar verdi.
