أفادت مصادر موثوقة الاعتداء على الشيخ حازم صلاح أبو اسماعيل بالسجن ودخوله في غيبوبة ،بعد الاعتداء عليه من قبل سلطات سجن العقرب، وذكرت مصادر أن الاعتداء جاء بعد مطالبته بالتحقيق في ملابسات وفاة الرئيس الراحل محمد مرسي.
